Gene nameDNTTIP2
Protein nameDeoxynucleotidyltransferase terminal interacting protein 2
Deoxynucleotidyltransferase terminal-interacting protein 2 (Estrogen receptor-binding protein) (LPTS-interacting protein 2) (LPTS-RP2) (Terminal deoxynucleotidyltransferase-interacting factor 2) (TdIF2) (TdT-interacting factor 2)
SynonymsERBP
TDIF2
DescriptionFUNCTION: Regulates the transcriptional activity of DNTT and ESR1. May function as a chromatin remodeling protein . Part of the small subunit (SSU) processome, first precursor of the small eukaryotic ribosomal subunit. During the assembly of the SSU processome in the nucleolus, many ribosome biogenesis factors, an RNA chaperone and ribosomal proteins associate with the nascent pre-rRNA and work in concert to generate RNA folding, modifications, rearrangements and cleavage as well as targeted degradation of pre-ribosomal RNA by the RNA exosome . .
