Description | FUNCTION: Involved in neural development, regulating the establishment of proper connectivity within the nervous system. Induces BDNF transcription inhibition in neurons. Activates the mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase 2 (MEK2) and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) cascade.
