Description | FUNCTION: Part of a mitoribosome-associated quality control pathway that prevents aberrant translation by responding to interruptions during elongation . As heterodimer with MTRES1, ejects the unfinished nascent chain and peptidyl transfer RNA (tRNA), respectively, from stalled ribosomes.
