The directed movement of ethanolamine into, out of or within a cell, or between cells, by means of some agent such as a transporter or pore. Ethanolamine (2-aminoethanol, monoethanolamine) is an amino alcohol that occurs widely in living organisms as a constituent of certain types of phospholipids, such as phosphatidylethanolamine.
