Binding to a denatured protein.

Note that this term should not be confused with 'unfolded protein binding ; GO:0051082', which usually refers to proteins that have not yet folded into their active states. Denatured proteins once were in their correct functional conformations, but have become incorrectly folded, and often form aggregates.
